Contractor compliance · Australia

We run contractor compliance for strata and property managers.

We onboard and chase your contractors, check their licences against government registries rather than collecting PDFs, and monitor their insurance against the requirements we maintain for each trade. Your team gets the register, not the work. Free for your contractors, so they actually complete it.

  • We chase your contractors, not your team
  • Status flows back into your management software
  • A timestamped record of every check

Licences verified against

  • Australian Business Register
  • QBCC
  • NSW Fair Trading
  • Energy Safe Victoria
  • Consumer and Business Services
  • Access Canberra
  • Building and Energy
  • Licensing NT
  • CBOS

Authority names are those of the issuing bodies. TradeVerify is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any of them. Licensing is State and Territory based and there is no national register — every authority we read from, and the date that list was last confirmed, is in the sources table.

The problem

Manual tracking isn't an admin burden. It's a process failure waiting to happen.

Expired insurance

A policy that lapsed three weeks ago looks identical to a current one in a folder of PDFs. The gap only surfaces when someone makes a claim against it.

Unlicensed operators

A licence that was valid when you filed the certificate can be suspended, downgraded or cancelled the week after. Nothing in a document store tells you.

Spreadsheet fragility

Static tracking can't reflect a live registry. Between manual audits, the spreadsheet says compliant because the spreadsheet said compliant last time.

The TradeVerify dashboard: contractor count, fully-compliant percentage, documents expiring within 30 days, overdue tasks, and a compliance status donut across the contractor base

The approach

We do the work. Not just give you somewhere to file it.

TradeVerify does one thing: contractor compliance for the Australian property sector. Not one feature in a broader suite, and not a side product from a building inspection firm.

Verified at the source

Licences are checked against the issuing authority's own register, and re-checked as expiry approaches or when something changes that could affect them. What you see is the registry's answer, with the authority named and the time of the check recorded.

A licence only counts once it is matched to the business — an exact match on the licence number, the ABN or the registered name. Anything less certain goes to a person rather than quietly passing.

Insurance, against the requirements we maintain

We maintain what each trade type is expected to hold. TradeVerify checks what the contractor actually holds against it, and flags the difference. It does not advise on whether the cover is adequate for a given scheme — that decision stays with your firm.

Certificates are read automatically and checked against the record — the named insured, the cover required for that trade, and whether the policy is current. All three line up and it verifies. Anything that doesn't comes to us, not to your team: a tax invoice or a renewal notice is not mistaken for proof of cover, and a policy in somebody else's name is stopped rather than filed.

We do the chasing

Contractors are contacted, guided through submission and reminded before expiry — by us. Your team is not in the loop, and verification is free for the contractor, which is why they finish it.

No account and no app: one time-limited link, listing exactly which documents are missing or expiring, down to the licence reference.

We put the status where your team works

Compliance status flows back into the management software you already run, through a direct integration. No manual imports, no file transfers, no duplicate data entry.

How the platform works, in detail.

Evidence

When someone asks you to prove it, you have the record.

Every check is timestamped and shows where the answer came from. This is what an extract looks like — the document you hand to an insurer, a committee or a regulator.
