Why it exists

It started as a complaint we kept hearing.

TradeVerify was started in late 2024, out of a frustration heard consistently from strata and property managers across Australia: there was no modern, automated, purpose-built way to handle contractor compliance end to end.

The tools that existed were either too broad, too dated, or built by firms whose core business was something else entirely. Managers were left with spreadsheets, email chasing and manual document checks — a process that produces false confidence, which is worse than no confidence, because nobody goes looking for the gap.

So we built the thing that was missing: an Australian service that takes contractor compliance off a firm's desk — onboarding and chasing their contractors, checking licences against government registers rather than against PDFs, and monitoring insurance against what each trade is expected to hold. We wrote the software behind it ourselves, which is why the checking is done against a register and not against a PDF someone emailed. One job, done properly.
